Landfill

Meade County Landfill is a C&D landfill.  Construction demolition materials, furniture, tree limbs, metal, and tires are accepted.  

Household trash is not accepted due to the cost of transfer.

Grass clippings and house hold trash are not accepted as the landfill does not have a permit from KDHE or the land to run a composting area.

Landfill is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 9-5.

The Landfill is operated under the authority of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment Permit Number 128.

Meade County Landfill will be closed Tuesday November 11 in observance of Veteran's day!  

Meade County Landfill will also be closed Thursday November 27 in observance of Thanksgiving.
