Board of County Commissioners
The Board of County Commissioners is a three-person elected board that has overall responsibility for county government functions such as budgets, setting policy, and performing executive functions. Commissioners serve four-year terms, with two of the three Commissioners being elected in the same year, and the third Commissioner elected two years later. Commissioner terms begin the second Monday in January after the election.

Clerk
The County Clerk's Office plays an important role in the operation of Meade County. It is at times considered the center point of communication and information. The County clerk's office is a vital part of a team keeping things running smoothly. Among the many daily business functions, the County Clerk is also the County Election Officer. The office organizes all the special, primary, and general elections held within the county.

County Attorney
Our office is charged with prosecuting violations of state law and county ordinances. We prosecute felony violations that occur anywhere in Meade County and misdemeanor and traffic violations that occur outside the city limits.

Register of Deeds
The Register of Deeds is an elected office. The office affects anyone who has owned or sold property in the county. We have records that date back to the 1800s. These copies are preserved in the record room, an area of the office which is open to interested citizens, attorneys, title searchers, historians, and genealogist for their research, reference and study.

Treasurer
The county Treasurer's Office serves as the conduit for the County's financial transactions. In addition to being the County's Financial Officer, the Treasurer's Office provides many services and information on property taxes, motor vehicle registration, vehicle title changes and driver's license renewals. The County Treasurer is an elected official and serves a four year term.
